They are not created nor destroyed, and their power is beyond the gods. Like all Elder Scrolls, their origins are unknown. Some children frown upon discovering too many secrets about the soul, and only wish for you to find out only minimal things, such as how they died. If you do get lucky, however, you may request to invade the soul's privacy of their life before they passed through Aetherius: their drives, goals, ambitions, motivations, what they thought before they died, how they died, etc. So even if you manage to find a Child of Aetherius who has the Elder Scroll (Far Shores), and you are trying to find a Redguard's soul, the soul you are searching for may not be resting in that plane. For instance, High King Emeric was (temporarily) killed in the Chamber of Passage in the Hall of Heroes his soul was drawn through a nearby passage to the Far Shores, despite his being a Breton. Though these scrolls are difficult to find, it's even more challenging to locate the soul, as these locations are not necessarily exclusive to those particular races, but may depend on an individual's beliefs and the manner of their death. ❈ Elder Scroll (Sands Behind the Stars) – Elsweyr Albiet these are assumed, these are where some of the scrolls might be located. For a starter, one would search for the scrolls in a main province to where the resting place is preferred. The Elder Scrolls of Aetherius are currently scattered across Tamriel. I don't know if they made it to Aetherius or not. ❝It's sad when I cannot find a dead soul. Unfortunately, the children are difficult to locate, and most of the time, they do not have the correct scroll in order to find the victim's soul in Aetherius. If the crime has not been solved, families will also hire and send detectives to the Children of Aetherius so they may reveal what really happened to the victim prior to entering the Immortal Plane. ![]() ![]() If the child cannot locate the soul, then that dead person is not in that specific plane and is either in another realm, or still remaining on Nirn as an earthbound spirit.ĭetectives also prowl for the cult to bring justice for a murdered victim. Many mourning families seek the Children of Aetherius to reveal the outcome of an individual's life, usually to see if they made it to a plane of Aetherius when they died. For example, if you manage to find a Child of Aetherius who possesses the Elder Scroll (Sovngarde), the child may find the soul you are searching for and delve into their past prior to their death and how they entered Sovngarde. The scrolls can discover the past for any soul that lives within the many realms of Aetherius. Only the Children of Aetherius have the ability to read and decipher the Elder Scrolls of Aetherius. But not only do they see hidden earthbound spirits, priests consider that their natural power can extend to the Immortal Plane with the Elder Scroll of Aetherius. But others believe that the child's eyes are not what they seem - children have the ability to see ghosts, spirits, and other entities that do not wish to be shown. Whether it be their imaginary friend or conversing with someone in an empty room, parents believe this is all a part of a child's development. Since the beginning of child development in Tamriel, children were known to have a vast imagination, often seeing things their parents cannot. Surprisingly enough, the only individuals who wield the power to decipher the parchment is children. ![]() It is a series that cannot be read by any man. The Elder Scrolls of Aetherius is an unusual prophecy with scrolls meant for the multitude of Aetherius's realms.
